
Ethnography and choreographic composition
Dance research and ethnography are theoretical and empirical fields, to explore and creating a reflection about aesthetic during the choreographic composition process. The relation with time, space and the physical body, appearing from a chaotic puzzle where the interaction with the surrounding creating symbolic shapes.The dance research started with the solo Scarcagnizzu looking at the Tarantism phenomena in Southern Italy and naturally continued in Indonesia where the giavanese community offered the occasion to observe Jatilan traditional performance. After the anthropological and ethnographic study the exploration on spatial possibilities revealing body-mouvements-elements collected unconsciously and naturally evolving as a method to write and to create an aesthetic trace. The relation with photography, video and new technology become more active as an interaction between virtual and reality while experiencing synesthetic fields.
